Long time local watering hole, Cooper’s is a good old fashion pub in the heart of Newtown. There’s a small beer garden, small TAB for betting on the ponies. TVs with sport. A small stare for a cover band on a Friday night and standard beer, cocktail, pub food range. 14 taps of mostly macro brewery beers but I did manage to have Willie The Boatman’s Marrickville Lager in my visit. Good pub to kick off a Sunday session or lead off a day long pub crawl through Newtown and Erskinville.
