Brewery: Leffe in Leuven, Belgium
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale
ABV: 8.2%
Rate Beer: 78/100
Pour: Deep copper red with a good, lasting white head
There’s initial sweetness to this one that cleverly disguises the high ABV. Dark fruit flavours come through as you casually sip this beer. I don’t know what the national pastime is in Belgium (besides beer and maybe soccer) but I feel this is the kind of beer you drink in the company of intellectuals discussing world politics and affairs of the nation.
