Five Barrels – Imperial Stout 2019 Shiraz Barrel Aged

Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Not a strong Shiraz flavour unlike the whiskey barrel aged version but still chocolate and vanilla flavours that’s been present in each years batch.

Pour: Solid black in colour with almost no head on pour

After sitting around a bonfire at my parents place last night drinking the 2018 imperial and the 2019 whiskey aged, I had to crack this one when I got home today. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Not a strong Shiraz flavour unlike the whiskey barrel aged version but still chocolate and vanilla flavours that’s been present in each years batch. Cracking beer.
