I’ve been to San Diego a few times now and for some reason, never made it to Pizza Port Brewery. It has a reputation and high regard in the Southern California region and its easy to see how. This typifies the West Coast IPA style that relaunched IPAs into the behemoth style it is today. Light, hoppy, full of flavour and leaves a lasting impression on the tongue. This takes me back to the beaches in San Diego. Warm sun, cool breeze and great beers.
