Toffee brown with no head.
I had been saving this beer for a special occasion. I always envisioned it would be a happy one, but unfortunately this beer is to celebrate the short life of my little mate, my cat, Midnight. He was unique and so is this beer. A grand cru style aged in barrels for 22% of its life, this is a sweet, sticky, caramel, toffee flavoured ale. A smoky, woody barrel flavour seeps through this one. It’s a sipper and is better if left to rest and breath. Few things in the world I love. My girlfriend, my cat and beer are the top three. My favourite brewery is Sierra Nevada. My favourite pet was my cat Midnight. Together it makes a bittersweet memory but one I’ll cherish.
