Feral have taken their famed Hop Hog and stuck it in oak barrels to age and bring out the flavours even further and give the beer a silky smoothness on the tongue. It’s been a shockingly long time since I’ve had a Hop Hog but this beer brought back those memories of being able to buy this by the four pack in my local BWS just as the craft beer scene was exploding around the inner west of Sydney. I drank a lot of Hop Hog and rated it highly. Same for this one.
