When I moved away from Marrickville, the one thing I knew I would miss would be living to close proximity to the breweries that were popping up in the area. But a sea change was required (and we couldn’t afford to buy a house in Marrickville) and we moved down to the ‘Gong. As luck would have it, we bought a house that was just a few minutes away from Illawarra Brewing Co. Located in an industrial area of North Wollongong, Illawarra Brewing is always a great spot to spend an afternoon having a few beers. (Fact, spent some of my 40th there….yeah I’m that old)
Rotating food trucks provide the food and generally all the Illawarra range will be on tap. There is growler and squealers fills available plus take away cans and cases. The beer in the photo below is their Apocalypso IPA and Apple Cider. The highlight, however, is the Chuck Norris Red IPA. It’s the best.
