Tasting Notes

A beautiful dark pink/light red colour. Strong aroma of raspberry and lime. I instantly think of a cider when I smell this beer. The fruit dominates the flavour but there’s a almost a Gose style behind it with a slightly salty, mouth puckering element. Normally I think of pepper and spice and clove for a saison but I like the twist here. I’m happy to say this is up there as one of my favourites of the year so far. This is a wonderfully crafted beer taking a traditional style and twisting it enough to make it interesting without being over the top. My only regret is not being able to sit at the taproom in Marrickville’s industrial estate to have a glass of this. I feel like sitting on those old lounge chairs surrounded by brewing tanks and graffiti artwork is where this was meant to be drunk.

I drink beer. And occasionally I'll write about it. But mostly, I drink beer.
