No sure what a footy ale is but this was made in mind for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, a sport I also don’t get. This is kind of like an American Adjunct Lager in taste with slight earthy hop flavours. Pretty easy to sink a few while watching the footy, just not Union. I feel like Union fans will be drinking chardonnay.
