Abbaye Notre Dame de Saint Remy – Trappistes Rochefort 6

That sweet, boozy taste of a Belgian beer. It’s a wonderful thing.

Brewery: Abbaye Notre Dame de Saint Remy in Rochefort, Belgium

Style: Belgian Dubbel

ABV: 7.5%

Rate Beer: 97/100

Pour: Deep golden/orange hue with a bubbly white head that fades off quickly.

That sweet, boozy taste of a Belgian beer. It’s a wonderful thing. Where all the malts deliver the flavour and not the hops. I always feel these beers are best suited for chilled, wet autumn nights, buried in a small  underground pub in Brussels. The dim lighting creates a great conversational atmosphere and the beer is central piece of conversation.

I drink beer. And occasionally I'll write about it. But mostly, I drink beer.
