Young Henry’s – Brewers B-side Dark Sour Of The Moon

Brewery: Young Henry’s in Newtown, NSW

Style Blueberry Sour

ABV 5.2%

Rate Beer:  No rating yet

Pour: Deep rustic reddish/purple colour with a small, fast fading head

Strong blueberry aromas on first sniff. Hints of caramel malts come through as well. The body is quite heavy for a sour. There’s lively balance between the mats and the blueberries. The sourness is just tart enough without being puckering. I’m enjoying this beer while watching UFC fights, which I normally don’t watch but with nothing better to do on a Sunday arvo, it seems to pair well. (And you thought I’d make some sort of Pink Floyd Darkside Of The Moon reference, but no. Because I’m not a fan of Pink Floyd.)

I drink beer. And occasionally I'll write about it. But mostly, I drink beer.
